Christianity Explored 4: The Cross
How do you react to Jesus' death on the cross? Do you see it as an unnecessary tragedy? Do you react with indifference? Fear? Wonder? In his gospel Mark says that Jesus' death on the cross was not a tragic waste of life. It was a rescue: "the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many" Mark 10:45. Rico Tice shows that when Jesus died on the cross, he took on the punishment that we deserve for rebelling against God, and made it possible for us to approach God.
Christianity Explored is an introductory course to the Christian faith. It gives you time and space to think about the big questions of life and to explore the life of the person at the heart of the Christianity - Jesus Christ.
