The Keswick Lectures 13 - Gunning for God
John Lennox - Why the new Atheists are missing the target - Aggressive atheism does not simply attack Christianity in the name of science but more and more in the name of ethics and morality. Claims like "religion is responsible for violence and war - just look at the Old Testament", and "no-one gets their morality from the Bible" are frequently heard. In addition there is misunderstanding of the word ‘faith’ and constant reference to the deep question of the problem of evil. In this lecture we shall address some of these issues in the light of Scripture and in the context of the pressing matter of where society gets its moral base.
