1 Corinthians 7:1-16 - Temple bodies: Glorify God With Your Body - St Helen's Bishopsgate - Sermon
27 Mar 2022 Gwilym Davies- Does our fellowship with Jesus Christ call us away from a marriage relationship? Christians often think that a radical commitment to holiness entails the rejection of sex, marriage, and family. They use 1 Corinthians 7 to make the case for radical relational abstinence.
Paul’s aim in 1 Corinthians 7 is certainly undivided devotion to the Lord Jesus and a radical commitment to holiness. But in 1 Corinthians 7:1-16, we see the call to holiness is to be answered within our families and not a call to leave them behind.
St Helen's Bishopsgate is a large evangelical church based in the heart of London. Our aim as a church family is to bring glory to God in everything that we do and in all that we are. We want to know Jesus Christ and we long to make Him known, in London, and around the world. For more info, how to find us and masses of other resources check out www.st-helens.org.uk
