Today Jesus rubs mud in a blind mans eyes. But it's not an insult. He's cured of his congenital disease.

But there's a deeper thing going on in this chapter, as we see one man who is blind, come to a clear view of Jesus. We see also five other incidents, where people for a range of reasons, though fully sighted, are functionally blind when it comes to Jesus.

In all of this there's a moment of challenge for each of us. Will be see Jesus, or will we close our eyes to the man standing in front of us?
