Wycliffe Bible Translators - The story of the Lugwere New Testament (12 min)

In the Bugwere region of Uganda, Samuel Mubbala is seeing a life long dream come true as the Lugwere New Testament is launched and now finally in the hands of his people. For over 12 years the translation team had been labouring to see God's word in the hands and hearts of the Lugwere. Now they are longing for the Old Testament too!

Such joy erupted in the church as Rogers Kinani Wako gave the people their first sight of the Lugwere New Testament! 'I am blessed that I am among the first people to handle it in my hands.' - Jacqueline Kibuka, Teacher

Length: 13mins

These videos share many wonderful stories and challenges from Wycliffe Bible Translators which can fuel our prayers for Bible translation work around the world.

Wycliffe Bible Translators want everyone to hear God speak to them as they engage with the Bible in their own language. 1.5 billion are still waiting for a Bible in the language that speaks to them best. It's not right that some of us have free access to the whole Bible while others don't. Together we can change this. Their vision is that by working with churches, organisations and individuals from around the world all people will have access to God's word in a language that they truly understand.
