Keswick '19 - Evening Celebration Week 2 Day 6: Pete Nicholas
1 Peter 4: 12-19. 'How Longing Reacts to Trouble' from a series on 1 Peter. Towards the end of his life, Peter the fisherman-turned-disciple wrote a letter to the early churches. 1 Peter flows with Peter’s sense of longing. He wants those who hear his letter to know the truth of the good news about Jesus – in their bones, their hearts, their habits and their feelings. How do Christians react to hardships that come because of their faith? How do they behave when the world is watching and looks surprised and even shocked by Christian discipleship? How, in the long walk of following Jesus, can believers be in step with him across their days? 1 Peter longs to tell us, over the evenings of this Convention week.
