Keswick '17 - Don Carson 2: Clash of the Titans - Paul and Peter
Galatians 2: 11-21. This year, 2017, we are celebrating the 500th anniversary of the onset of the Reformation. Although Luther, Calvin and the other magisterial Reformers were committed to teaching and preaching the entire Bible, they gave a primary place to Romans and Galatians, understanding that these letters spoke with rare power to the issues of the 16th century. For slightly different reasons, Galatians speaks powerfully to the twentyfirst century too, addressing as it does such issues as the nature of authority, the exclusiveness of the gospel, the work of Jesus Christ on the cross, the nature of saving faith, the manner in which the new covenant fulfils the old, the work of the Spirit and the glory of true Christian freedom.

The Gospel Coalition was formed to bring Christian leaders together who have a commitment to the gospel of Jesus Christ as defined and shaped by the Bible, with a view to reforming the church and transforming the broader culture. In order to accomplish these aims, the Coalition has for several years been bringing pastors together from all over North America, so they might engage in discussion about how to accomplish these aims through The Gospel Coalition. This group has produced a Statement of Faith, and a vision of what should characterize contemporary ministry. Carson and his wife, Joy, reside in Libertyville, Illinois. They have two children. In his spare time Carson enjoys reading, hiking, and woodworking. For more information please visit keswickministries.org.
