Jon Teasdale is an assistant minister at Jesmond Parish Church, Newcastle upon Tyne, UK, and is responsible for small groups and men's ministry.

Here are 5 top books on marriage and relationships:

1 Married for God by Christopher Ash: Probably the best book there is on understanding marriage from God’s point of view. A book to read whether you’re single, engaged, recently married or been married for 50 years!

2 Gospel-centred Marriage by Tim Chester. A very useful little book with short chapters  ending in questions for reflections and ideas for action. Easy for couples to read together and very practical.

3  Questions About Divorce and Remarriage by Andrew Cornes: This faithfully applies Scripture to the hard issues of when marriages break down. Essential reading for a church that seems to have lost its Christian mind in this area.

4  Holding Hands, Holding Hearts by Richard & Sharon Philips This is one for singles who are considering dating, offering clear, biblical thinking

And 5  One Flesh by Greg and Ameila Clarke: An honest and informative book about sex experienced as God designed it to be – within a marriage. Helpful for all, but especially for those about to enjoy their honeymoon!

So that’s it – 5 suggestions to edify, correct and enjoy God’s teaching on marriage!
