Christianity Explored 8: James and John

If God said: "What do you want me to do for you?" What would you ask for? In this section of Mark's gospel, Rico Tice shows that following Jesus is about service not status. Contentment, satisfaction and fulfilment don’t come from status-seeking or anything else - they come from God. When we make these things more important than God, this is what the Bible calls, idolatry. Another response to Jesus is to be like Bartimaeus who called Jesus "Son of David" and asked for mercy. He received it and followed Jesus. What do you want Jesus to do for you?

Length: 11mins

Christianity Explored is an introductory course to the Christian faith. It gives you time and space to think about the big questions of life and to explore the life of the person at the heart of the Christianity - Jesus Christ.
