LIVE STREAM - Evening Communion Service 6.30pm 26 May '19 from Jesmond Parish Church, Newcastle UK
Tonight David Holloway will be preaching on 'Jesus: The Advocate For Our Sin' from 1 John 2: 1-6.
John's first letter tells us that sin is very serious - we can't deny it or its consequences- eternal separation from God. But, there is a wonderful solution to our sin and God has provided it himself. Jesus Christ is our propitiation - he takes the force of God's anger on himself so that we can live holy lives. And it's in living out these lives that we find the assurance that we truly know our saviour.
Join us live every week for our Sunday evening service to praise God with music, talk to him in prayer and listen to his word explained.

Ask Phillip - Swearing When Preaching?
Should preachers swear when preaching? Phillip Jensen says, he is more impressed by those who do what by nature they do not want to do, to reach people with the gospel, than by those who do what their sinful nature desires to do anyway, in the name of evangelism. He talks about the reasons for swearing and concludes that Christians are to be different to the world as it says in Ephesians 5:4.
