LIVE STREAM - Gospel Choir Service 6.30pm 19 May '19 from Jesmond Parish Church, Newcastle UK
Join us for our annual Gospel Choir service with visiting gospel musicians including singers, a band and a scratch choir. Tonight Ian Garrett will be preaching on 'Why is the Gospel Good News?' from Luke 23: 32-49.
Are you offended that Jesus forgives the criminal on the cross? Ian Garrett explores how we can never be good enough to be accepted by God, but that he still forgives us through Jesus death on the cross.
Join us live every week for our Sunday evening service to praise God with music, talk to him in prayer and listen to his word explained.

EMA '14: Sinclair Ferguson - Preaching and the Glory of God (2)
Sinclair Ferguson encourages preachers at EMA '14 to savour and preach God's glory, praying that other might come to enjoy this glory through their preaching. He shows that the glory of God is marvellously displayed through the trinity and this is written down by the apostles and now preached to believers. Ferguson encourages preachers to preach in their style not trying to preach in the style of someone they admire, because just as God worked through the different styles of Isaiah, Ezekiel, Peter and Paul, God will work through the way he has shaped his people today. He encourages preachers to preach the specific burden of the attribute of the gospel that has become the special burden of your ministry, as this has been shaped by God.

The Evangelical Ministry Assembly (EMA) is the Proclamation Trust's (PT) flagship gathering of over 1000 Bible preachers and teachers. It is for all those with responsibility for teaching and preaching the word of God in the local church. The PT recognises that such ministry is sometimes counter-cultural, can often be lonely and is always hard work. The EMA therefore is planned to both challenge and encourage preachers in the task to which Christ has called them and provide a place to meet others involved in the same ministry so that they can spur one another on.
The main aim of the Proclamation Trust is to teach the Bible to preachers in order that they can in turn teach it to others, as well as to provide a fellowship of like-minded evangelicals across the denominations for encouragement in this work. For more information see: www.proctrust.org.uk.
