LIVE STREAM - Evening Communion Service 6.30pm 26 May '19 from Jesmond Parish Church, Newcastle UK

Tonight David Holloway will be preaching on 'Jesus: The Advocate For Our Sin' from 1 John 2: 1-6.

John's first letter tells us that sin is very serious - we can't deny it or its consequences- eternal separation from God. But, there is a wonderful solution to our sin and God has provided it himself. Jesus Christ is our propitiation - he takes the force of God's anger on himself so that we can live holy lives. And it's in living out these lives that we find the assurance that we truly know our saviour.

Join us live every week for our Sunday evening service to praise God with music, talk to him in prayer and listen to his word explained.

Jesmond Parish Church is a large evangelical Anglican church in the heart of Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. For more info see http://www.church.org.uk.

Bible Alone - Ideas that Changed the World

Dominic Steele explores the Bible and the work of William Tyndale.

William Tyndale was born in England and studied theology at Oxford. At university he was horrified that there were no subjects on the Bible as part of his degree, and so he formed small reading groups of fellow students to study the Bible in the evenings. Later he made it his life’s work to produce a Bible for the common man. He reportedly said to a corrupt clergyman: ‘If God spare my life I will cause a boy that driveth the plough to know more of the Scripture than thou dost.’

Length: 36mins

In 1518 A.D. four ideas changed the world forever. Dominic Steele opens up the Bible to explore what they are.
